The Problem
Every fall, it took 6 weeks before intervention groups were running. Teachers needed time to assess students, the MTSS team needed to meet to form groups, and scheduling had to be figured out. Six weeks of lost intervention time for students who were already behind.
The Plan
-
1Pull spring benchmark data and end-of-year factor scoresIdentify students likely to need Tier 2/3 support based on current data.Week 1 (July)Data Wall Factors Imports See example
-
2Form tentative groups by skill deficitBuild intervention groups in the system based on specific gaps, not overall scores.Week 2Groups See example
-
3Lock intervention blocks into the master scheduleWork with principal to protect 30-min daily intervention blocks.Week 3Groups
